Four workers killed in western Turkish factory blaze
At least four workers have been killed after a textile factory caught fire on Thursday in the northwest Turkish province of Kocaeli, secularist daily Cumhuriyet reported.
Teams were attempting to gain access to the interior of the building to recover the workers’ bodies, Cumhuriyet reported at 2:43 p.m. local time (GMT +2).
Footage shared on social media shows the factory engulfed in flames, with firefighters struggling to keep the blaze under control.

The fire is thought to have broken out on Thursday morning. As of Thursday afternoon, the cause of the fire remains unclear.
Five people have been taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation, Cumhuriyet reported.
