Turkey’s ruling AK Party to deliver “vision for humanity” overseas
Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) is to open nine more offices outside of Turkey in addition to the present offices it runs in Brussels and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, state news agency Anadolu said.
"AK Party does not have a manifesto that includes a vision exclusively on Turkey's domestic policy, but it is a vision about the world, humanity, and civilisation," party deputy chairman Mehdi Eker said.
"So, it is quite natural that such a party has offices in world's important centres as legal contact points."
The expansion of the party’s influence into the United States, Britain, Russia, Germany, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Macedonia was ordered by party leader and Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Anadolu said.
