Turkey-backed militia clashes with Syrian army - pro-Assad outlet

Syrian pro-government forces and Turkish-backed militias exchanged fire on Wednesday near the Syrian town of Tadef to the north of the city of Aleppo, the Syrian pro-government news website Al Masdar News said.

Tadef is about 1 km south of the strategic crossroad town of Al Bab, which was captured by Turkish-led forces from Islamic State fighters in February after a three-month battle, Al Masdar said.

The southern half of Tadef is controlled by Syrian army-led forces, and the northern half by pro-Turkey fighters and the front line runs right through the middle of the town, Al Masdar said.
