Turkey set to import Russian Ka-32 helicopters
The civil aviation authorities of Turkey and Russia have agreed a deal which will see the shipment of Russian Ka-32 helicopters starting this Spring, the Russian news site Sputnik Türkiye reports.
The Russian Federal Agency for Air Transport head Aleksandr Neradko signed the deal with Turkey’s Deputy Director General of Civil Aviation, Can Erel, during the Russian National Aviation Infrastructure Show on Feb. 7.
The deal facilitates the sale and export of the Ka-32 helicopter from Russia to Turkey, where they will be provided with the appropriate licences and documentation, according to Sputnik’s news.
The Ka-32 is a multipurpose helicopter that can be used in search and rescue, firefighting, high-altitude construction, heavy lifting, and ambulance operations, as well as by special forces.
