IED wounds policeman in Turkish city of Bursa

An improvised explosive device affixed to a bridge wounded a police officer in the western Turkish city of Bursa on Saturday, Turkish national broadcaster TRT said.

The policeman was crossing the pedestrian bridge over Hacivat brook near the police station in the neighbourhood of Erikli when the device exploded, leaving him with minor wounds, TRT said.

Police are combing the area, it said, and Province Police Chief Osman Ak is receiving information on the ground.
