Coronavirus kills 50 Turkish citizens abroad
At least 50 Turkish citizens, living in eight countries, have died with the coronavirus, state run Anadolu news agency said on Friday.
Deputy Foreign Minister Yavuz Selim Kıran said at least 151 Turkish citizens abroad had tested positive for the coronavirus.
Kıran was speaking at the opening ceremony on Friday of the Foreign Ministry's coordination and support centre, which Turkish citizens can contact for coronavirus support 24 hours a day.
Kıran also said nearly 15,000 Turkish citizens had been brought back to Turkey.
Turkey had received requests for medical supplies from 77 countries and has been able to respond to 20 of those requests, said Kıran.
