Turkey says it is coronavirus-free after testing airline passengers from Iran
Turkey’s Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said on Wednesday there were no symptoms of the coronavirus among passengers who were evacuated from Iran, where some 15 deaths from the virus have been confirmed, state-run Anadolu news agency reported.
"With 132 passengers and 10 crew members, I want to say that we do not have any passengers with a fever above 38 degrees,” Koca said.
Turkey, which has yet to report any coronavirus cases, first took extra precautions at its Iranian border following the confirmed cases and deaths in Iran.
Turkey closed its border with Iran on Sunday and halted incoming flights to stop the potential spread of coronavirus.
