Salih Muslim has nothing to fear in Denmark – party spokesman

Former Kurdish group leader Salih Muslim has nothing to fear when he comes to Denmark, despite Turkey having issued an Interpol red notice for his detention, the spokesman for the Danish political party that invited him was quoted by secular newspaper Posta as saying.

Søren Søndergaard of the left-wing Red-Green Alliance, which holds 14 of 179 seats in the Danish parliament, said that the ex-leader of the Syrian Democratic Union Party (PYD) would be holding a series of discussions in the parliament on Monday.

Muslim is presently touring Europe to drum up support for his group in its resistance to the Turkish operation against it in Afrin.

Turkey has requested Muslim’s extradition from every country he has arrived at so far: the Czech Republic detained and then released him, but Germany and Sweden ignored the request.
