Turkish retail sales rebound in October
Turkish retail sales increased an annual 2.4 percent in October, recovering from a 1.2 percent decline the previous month.
Sales of non-food products grew at a faster pace of 2.6 percent, due to a rebound in sales of textiles, clothing and footwear, which increased 10.1 percent versus a 9.6 percent fall the previous month, data published by the statistics agency on Friday showed.
Sales of electronic goods and furniture slid 7.7 percent. Drinks and tobacco sales fell 0.7 percent.
Month-on-month, sales edged up 0.1 percent, spurred by an increase in medical goods and cosmetics, as well as textiles and clothing. Sales of other non-food items, excluding fuel, declined.
