Fourty percent of Turkey angry, says Gallup emotions report
Turkey was ranked the fourth top country in which people have negative experiences with 40 percent of Turks saying they are angry, according to Gallup’s 2019 Global Emotions Report.
The annual report, which is a snapshot of people’s positive and negative daily experiences based on more than 151,000 interviews with adults in over 140 countries, ranked Turkey in the 10th place among the most stressful 12 countries, where Greece topped the list, followed by the Philippines and Tanzania.
Turkey placed 6th among the 10 angriest countries, where Armenia, Iraq and Iran placed in the top three.
Turkey was also listed among the 10 countries with the lowest positive experiences, alongside Yemen, Lithuania and Nepal.
The most negative country was Chad, followed by Niger. The most positive country was Paraguay, according to the report.
Levels of stress throughout the world were at a new high, the report found, while levels of worry and sadness also increased.
Some 39 percent of those polled said they had been worried the day before the survey, and 35 percent said they were stressed.
