Netanyahu should read Ten Commandments, Erdoğan says
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should read the Ten Commandments if he wants a lesson in humanity.
Netanyahu is the leader of an “Apartheid state” that has occupied the lands of defenceless people for more than 60 years, Erdoğan said in a statement on Twitter on Tuesday.
Turkey expelled Israel’s ambassador to Ankara earlier in the day after Israeli forces shot dead more than 50 Palestinians protesting the opening of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem on Monday.
Netanyahu has the “blood of Palestinians on his hands” and can’t cover up his crimes by attacking Turkey, Erdoğan added.
Earlier in the day Netanyahu, in a tweet message said, "Erdogan is among Hamas's biggest supporters and there is no doubt that he well understands terrorism and slaughter. I suggest that he not preach morality to us".
Historian Louis Fishman, in a tweet post, likened Erdogan vs. Netanyahu tweets as "Turkey-Israel twitter wars."
