Turkish Ambassador: "FETO is diminishing globally"
Fatih Ulusoy, Turkey’s ambassador to Ethiopia and the permanent representative of Turkey to the African Union said that the global influence of the Fethullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) is dwindling across the world. The Turkish government calls the Gulen Movement, led by Fethullah Gulen as "FETO" and accuses it to be behind the failed coup attempt in Turkey in 2016
Talking about the defeated coup of July 15, 2016, the ambassador said that "the FETO, hiding behind the pretence of an education movement, used its schools to infiltrate political systems of many countries" during a news conference at the Turkish Embassy,
“FETO schools and other entities have been closely inspected and put under in many countries, and investigations into FETO structures and FETO operatives are underway in many others,” Ulusoy said and thanked Ethiopian authorities for their solidarity over the defeated coup.
