Turkey and Qatar help spread true concepts of Islam, says Turkey’s religious head
The head of Turkey’s top religious body said that Turkey and Qatar were keen to spread true Islam across the world, Qatari daily the Peninsula reported on Friday.
Ali Erbaş, the head of Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet), is visiting Qatar to attend the opening of an Islamic Cultural Centre.
Erbaş told reporters his visit also allowed the exchange of experiences between the Diyanet and Qatari Ministry of Islamic Affairs, the Peninsula said.
The head of Turkey’s religious body said that Qatar made efforts to teach the correct religious concepts to Muslims and said the two sides could cooperate in a number of areas, including education and humanitarian aid.
