President Erdoğan set to visit four African nations

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is set to visit four African nations starting Monday, Feb. 26, according to an official statement.

The Turkish president is expected to hold one-on-one meetings with his counterparts, as well as and inter-delegation sessions, in Algeria, Mauritania, Senegal and Mali. 

The leaders are expected to discuss regional and global developments, bilateral relations and cooperation, the statement says. The president is planning to attend business forums in Algeria and Senegal as well. 

This tour will be Erdoğan’s first presidential visits to Mauritania and Mali, the statement says.

Last December, Erdoğan did a four-day visit to Sudan, Chad and Tunisia. 

Erdoğan’s visit to Algeria will be the second Turkish presidential trip to the country. Erdoğan visited Sudan, Chad and Tunisia last December.
