All 400,000 Turkish gowns supplied to Britain fail NHS safety standards
Protective gowns provided by Turkey to Britain to address its shortages of personal protective equipment do not comply with British safety standards, the Guardian said on Thursday.
Britain's National Health Service (NHS) received 400,000 protective gowns from Turkey on Apr 19 after several delays.
All of the 400,000 protective gowns have been impounded after being found not to conform to British standards, the Guardian said.
British health authorities said on Wednesday that the Turkish gowns were due to be sent back and that the authorities intended to seek a refund, according to the Guardian.
