Turkey plans annual Islamophobia report
Turkey will publish an annual report on Islamophobia and racism in other countries, state-run Anadolu news agency said on Monday, citing Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
The ministry will “report on acts and discourse involving Islamophobia, xenophobia and racism and expose it for the world to see,” Çavuşoğlu said.
Turkey is taking a cue from the European Union and United States, which release regular reports on Turkey, and will do so “for the good of humanity”, Çavuşoğlu said.
He said Turkey is no longer playing the game by others’ rules in matters of its concern.
