Turkish man threatens suicide to show his love for Erdoğan
A Turkish man threatened suicide in the southern province of Adana in order to protest his family’s opposition to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Birgün newspaper reported on Thursday.
Ramazan B., allegedly drunk, tried to climb the safety rails of the bridge over the Seyhan River passing through Adana and threatened to commit suicide due to differences of political opinion with his family, who support the main opposition People’s Republican Party (CHP).
“Everyone at home supports the CHP. There is only one man in Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. I am going to jump from this bridge for Tayyip Erdoğan,” the man said.
The police and medical teams arrived at the scene and talked the man down.
