Turkish film wins best screenplay, best actor awards at Tribeca Film Festival

Noah Land, a film directed and written by Turkish filmmaker Cenk Ertürk, won the Best Screenplay and Best Actor awards in an International Narrative Feature film at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival in New York on Thursday.

Ertük’s first feature film, which is about family, death and religious conflict, also made its world premiere at the festival last month.

Turkish actor Ali Atay won the best actor award for his performance as Ömer, a Turkish man who wants to fulfil his terminally-ill father’s dying wish.
