UAE crown prince is Turkey’s evil enemy – columnist

Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and the deputy supreme commander of the United Arab Emirates’ armed forces, is the enemy of Turkey, a pro-government Turkish columnist said.

Bin Zayed, seen as the driving force of the UAE’s activist foreign policy, is “the source of evil” and “the headquarters of all the dirty plans aimed at Turkey”, Ibrahim Karagül, editor in chief of Yeni Şafak newspaper and part of an inner circle of journalists close to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said in an editorial on Monday.

“He is the name behind all the regional-scale evil operations targeting Turkey. He is a monument of evil. He is a partner to all the threats our country is fighting today.”

Karagül said bin Zayed is controlling “hitmen” against Turkey:

“We know you Mr. Prince, we know you established the army of evil. We know you have allocated most of your time and money to attack Turkey, that you are in an alliance with terrorist organisations, that you finance them, arm them and set them on Turkey.”

Karagül said Bin Zayed has partnered with the Fethullah Gülen movement, has been flirting with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and working with the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Syria.
