Turkey is set to provide visa-free travel to 11 countries in Europe, according to a presidential decree published on Monday.

Ankara will grant visa exemption to the U.K., the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Northern Ireland, Croatia, Ireland, Spain, Malta, Norway, Poland, and Portugal, TRT news reported.

Visa-free travel to Turkey from the countries is effective March 2 and will be valid for 90 days for visits totalling 180 days, according to the decree.

The exemption is valid for transit travels and touristic visits.

The citizens of 78 countries and territories, including Germany, Spain, France, Sweden, Italy, Ireland, Switzerland and Finland, currently do not need visas before travelling to Turkey for tourism or commercial purposes.
